My name is Demian Fore. I'm a creative director (art director) who lives in Austin, Texas. Below are some things you might like to know.
After studying architecture at The Cooper Union (NYC) and design, illustration and advertising at The School of Visual Arts (NYC) I received a BS in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin in 1994.
I freelanced in New York City and Austin until 1997 before starting full time at GSD&M in Austin as an art director.
I moved to Los Angeles in 1999 where I art-directed at J Walter Thompson.
But not long after that Austin called again, and I gladly answered. I rejoined GSD&M in 2000 and worked there until 2008.
Then the most amazing opportunity presented itself - which I quickly embraced. I became a full-time father. It was without a doubt the most rewarding, thrilling and exhausting six-year experience of my life. Somehow my amazing kid's survived (as did I) and once they were off to elementary school, I realized that I truly missed my former career.
I started freelancing again in 2014 - which brings us to now.
Over the years I've worked on many great brands including: AT&T, BMW, Chili’s, Dell, Dial, Kohler, Lennox, Norwegian Cruise Line, Pennzoil, SBC, SBC Yellow Pages, Southwest Airlines, United Healthcare, U.S. Air Force, Walgreens and Zales.
And along the way I've picked up some awards and recognition from: The One Show, The Art Directors Club, Clio, Graphis Advertising Annual, Print Regional Design Annual, National Addy, Regional Addy and Local Addy.
When I'm not creative-directing you can catch me playing soccer or playing with my kids or watching my kids play soccer or just enjoying the great outdoors. I'm also perpetually working on writing and illustrating a children's book.
